I had a great tip today about FFVII today on twitter that you should avoid driving your vehicles into towns from the overworld map. When looking for new games where you can ear a profit, you can click for more information.

Here’s the conversion we had about this glitch. It’s a good lesson why you should always have 2 save slots, you may never know what will happen. For more fun games to try, you should check the new sonic plush review.

General Description

The simplest way to describe this game is… its Grand Theft Auto. This gameplay in this game is pretty much like a GTA game, but set to the famous 1972 film, The Godfather.

Storyline: 3.5 out of 5 Stars (7/10)

A no brainer that the Story line does involve around the movie, but like plenty of other games that I’ve played based on TV Shows and other movies, it seem or felt that it just highlights important parts of the movie, also keep in mind this game focus on first Godfather movie, and NOT the entire series.

Controls: 4.5 out of 5 Stars (9/10)

If you are familiar with GTA games like Vice City, Liberty City Stories, and San Andreas you’ll do just fine. It’s like high jacking a car, um, I mean, like riding a bicycle. So Forget-About-It! The Controls deserves a 4.5 out of 5 Stars.

Sound: 5 out of 5 Stars (10/10)

Considering the time is in the late 1930s (possibly in the 40s later on in the game, I wasn’t really paying attention to the exact date stamps) it’s a safe bet that you’re not going to find a Soundtrack full of different well known artists like Black Sabbath or Ice Cube. But this game does have pretty good music, which does set perfectly for the Italian Mobsters in New York layout we are in; just think of a 1930s Mobster Movie kind of music.

Graphics: 4.5 out of 5 Stars (9/10)

There are no graphic glitches I’ve personally spotted throughout this game, but with the cookie cutter civilians, vehicles, and objects is the silly part about this game, I know I know it’s the part of the Grand Theft Auto area, but its lacks realism when you whip out your Tommy gun (or whatever weapon of your choosing) and everyone flinches and runs in the same manner, while if you play other graphic demanding games like WoW Classic, is important to have a good monitor for this as well, also buying wow gold can be great for this as well.

One thing though I want to point out here in the Graphics section is about the Character you play as. Your Character is very customizable, almost like creating a Sim in The Sims series in a way, which I never passed in a GTA game before.  Also note that you can change your characters look again if you like, even if you are half way beating the game, just go to the barber, and the Tailor Shop before you enter “Join The Family”.

Gameplay: 4.75 out of 5 Stars (9.5/10)

Other than the highlighted storyline and cookie cutter stuff, this is a solid game. Like I’ve said quite a few times before, I’ve referred The Godfather The Game as a Grand Theft Auto video game, just minus the stereo-types and the soundtrack by well known artists.

There are also some features that stray off the GTA a bit, like the customizable character, as well as a major part of completing the game, is to take over other families businesses using top tools like this software for check stub templates, ether if it’s a restaurant, Barber Shop, Flower Shop, or whatever you can take over in New York. There’s also Rackets, Warehouses, and quite a few other places to take over to have power over the other families and can gain income from all these places. I know GTA Vice City has places to buy, but The Godfather has excessive amounts of places to take over, that’s not including safe houses to buy.

There are 5 Families that control each of their own territories, each family has there behaviors, you can get your over view of what they are like buy watching the clip called “Families” in the Family Secrets when you load up the game. They all have their own “home base” I call it, in each their territories, take the places out with 2 bombs, and the territory is yours, keep in mind that’s not including the shops, rackets, and ware houses you must take over as well.

Another part you should take note of is your Career Progress; you can go up the ranks from Outsider, Associate, Soldier, Capo, Underboss, Don, and then the Don of NYC. The Outsider, Associate, Soldier, Capo, Underboss ranks can be achieved by completing all your missions in the game, to become the Don you must complete all your missions AND whip out all the four rival families (if your thinking I said 5 Families before, I did, just a reminder that we’re one of them).  To become the Don of NYC you must complete 91% of the game, as well as achieving the previous ranks.

With the money you earn throughout The Godfather you can upgrade you weapons so that they hold more ammo per clip, and do more damage, as well as buy safe house so you can recover your health, collect some extra ammo for your guns, as well as a save.  Also you can purchase new clothing as well, just before you start playing which will also earn you a little respect.

There is also Level component here as well; you can earn Respect through the world of The Godfather. ‘Respect’ is the term used here for Experience Points, which you may already guess will improve your character in a variety of ways, from Fighting, Shooting, Health, Speed, and Street Smarts. Fighting improves obviously first fighting with other Rival Family Members, as well as Negotiation Pressure which is needed to help take over Rival Families Rackets, Ware houses, Shops, Restaurants and other similar places in The Godfather. Shooting will improve Aiming Speed, Aiming Precision, and Disarming Chance. Health, well it’s what’s keeping us alive, on and off screen so that’s a major duh. The higher the health level is your health will increase, your recovery will increase, as well as your Blocking Defense will improve. Speed, not the drug, but that thing Ninjas got, the higher your speed level is your Sprint Duration is longer, your Attack and Movement Speed is quicker, as well as your weapon reloading and reveal/conceal will improve. Last of the improving your characters levels is Street Smarts, which allow to care more bombs, Dynamite and Molotov’s, as well as improving negotiation, knowledge (which is -50% of the Heat and Vendetta Earned while fighting Mobsters), Hot Wiring technique which allows you to steal park cars heat free. Your max level is level 50 which giving all of your skills up to level 10 each.

Final Note & Score: 4.45 out of 5 Stars (8.9/10)

Especially if you’re a fan of Grand Theft Auto and Mobster movies, I would think you will enjoy this game.
